The press and public are invited to join Big Brothers Big Sisters at a group-baking event to be held at the Eugene YMCA, 2055 Patterson in Eugene on Friday, Feb. 11 at 3 p.m. Participants will bake and decorate cookies to commemorate the anniversary and thank Albertson's and Pillsbury for the donation. Albertson's and Pillsbury have created these events in markets around the country to provide an opportunity for Big Brothers Big Sisters mentors and children to share the experience of baking, and to create a warm, memorable experience for the participants. A second event is being held on Saturday, Feb. 12 at 10 a.m. at Albertson's Food &Drug store at 2000 Marcola Road in Springfield, where Big Brothers Big Sisters participants will share their designs with the public.
