The second annual Big Apple Bluegrass Festival will take place on November 13th and 14th, 1pm-1am at The Baggot Inn, 82 West 3rd Street, NYC NYC abbr. New York City NYC New York City and will offer weekend ticket holders up to 24 hours of music. Tickets are $30 per day or $50 for the weekend. Concert goers are coming into NYC from as far away as Sweden, England and France to enjoy some of the world's most noted Bluegrass performers, including the world's finest fiddle player Vassar Clements and America's newest Bluegrass star Valerie Smith. Clements will be performing both days of the Festival. With a career that has spanned over fifty years, including 2000 recorded performances, 27 recorded albums & five Grammy nominations, he is internationally known and revered. He has recorded or performed with everyone from Bill Monroe to Jerry Garcia to Paul McCartney and is the quintessential American musician. New star Valerie Smith is also performing both days. Her latest CD "Patchwork Heart" has earned her two International Bluegrass Music Association The International Bluegrass Music Association, or IBMA, is a trade association to promote bluegrass music.
