Bidston welcomes 'snow patrol'.


GOLF CLUBS across the Wirral Wirral, metropolitan borough (1991 est. pop. 322,100), NW England, on the peninsula between the Mersey and Dee estuaries, in the Greater Manchester metropolitan area.  have seen an increase in visitors since the Open Championship's return to Royal Liverpool Liverpool, city (1991 pop. 448,300), NW England, on the Mersey River near its mouth. It is one of Britain's largest cities. A large center for food processing (especially flour and sugar), Liverpool has a variety of industries, including the manufacture of electrical  in 2006.

Bidston Golf Club is no exception and has just accommodated two visiting societies from Norway and Sweden.

With much of Scandinavia covered in snow, it was an ideal opportunity for both visiting parties to enjoy a long weekend break, fitting in 36 holes of golf, good food and a taste of Bidston's renowned hospitality Jens Jakobsen, one of the event organisers, said: "We chose to play at Bidston after reading all about the club on their website. We were welcomed as soon as we landed in the car park and made to feel very special.

"The course was in magnificent condition and we enjoyed the day very much. We will definitely be back."

Bidston captain George Harvey Harvey, city (1990 pop. 29,771), Cook co., NE Ill., a suburb S of Chicago; inc. 1895. Its manufactures include steel castings, metal products, chemicals, machinery, and electronic equipment. Harvey has an oil research center. The city was founded by Turlington W.  said: "It has been a pleasure accommodating our visitors from Scandinavia and we look forward to welcoming them back again."

The club prides itself on a welcoming atmosphere for visitors.
