Bid to run Rentokil.


SIR GERRY ROBINSON Sir Gerrard Jude ("Gerry") Robinson (b. 1948, County Donegal) is an Irish-born British businessman. He is the former (non-executive) Chairman of Allied Domecq and the ex-Chairman/Chief Executive of Granada.  yesterday called on the board of Rentokil Initial to let him mastermind the turnaround of the services group.

Proposals from Sir Gerry's investment vehicle, Raphoe, include his appointment as executive chairman and the return of up to 35p a share to investors. Raphoe warned the Rentokil board that it would consider a takeover offer or call a meeting of share- holders if it rejected the proposals.
