The newly released Ace-Disk flashdrive is a solid-state disk that is fully compatible with the ATA/IDE interface. It is well suited as a drop-in replacement for standard 2.5-inch ATA/IDE hard disk drives (HDD) in mission critical environment requiring ruggedness, reliability and ATA/IDE compatibility. The Ace-Disk is ideal for military, airborne, transportation, telecommunications, instrumentation, and other industrial and embedded computing applications.

The Ace-Disk low-cost ATA/IDE flashdrive provides a burst read/write rate of 16.7 MBytes per second, with a sustained read/write rate of 3 MBytes per second. It is available in a variety of densities ranging from 32 MBytes to 2048 MBytes of pure solid state storage. Ace-Disk flashdrive has a mean time between failure (MTBF) of 2 million hours and operates dependably in harsh environments that include extreme temperatures, humidity, shocks, vibrations and high altitude.

The Ace-Disk product line requires no device drivers, is completely bootable and fully compatible with major platforms such as Linux, Solaris, Windows, MacOS and LynxOS, AIX, FreeBSD, HP-UX, IRIX, NetBSD, OS/2, QNX, VxWorks, SCO Unixware and Open Server, Solaris X86, and Tru64.
