Barely two months after releasing the E-Disk([R]) Altima[TM] SATA (Serial ATA) A serial version of the ATA (IDE) interface, which has been the de facto standard hard disk interface for desktop PCs for more than two decades. The original Parallel ATA (PATA) interface was launched in 1986.  SSD, BiTMICRO now marks the release of the E-Disk([R]) Altima[TM] E2A133BL ATA-133 SSD model. This model is primarily targeted to serve the capacity and performance driven applications of the military, aerospace and embedded markets, which include imaging, video-on-demand, database and data recording applications.

BiTMICRO's E-Disk([R]) Altima[TM] ATA-133 flash SSD offers optimum storage solution to keep up with the rapid increase in the storage capacity requirements and top-speed performance demands of military and industrial applications. This 2.5" solid-state drive utilizes the latest high-density single level cell (SLC) NAND flash memory chips, allowing the model to offer random I/O rates of up to 20,000/sec, burst rates of up to 133 MB/sec, sustained rates of up to 100 MB/sec, and storage capacities of up to 416 GB. Additionally, the E-Disk([R]) Altima[TM] ATA-133 model has an operating temperature ranging from -40xC to +85xC, making it ideal for 24x7 deployment in extremely hostile environments.

"It is not an easy task to serve the military and industrial markets as these are obviously highly demanding industries with very specific requirements. BiTMICRO has been servicing this particular niche since it started more than a decade ago," said BiTMICRO's EVP for Sales and Marketing Rudy Bruce.
