Once common standard for connecting peripheral devices (disks, modems, printers, etc.) to small and medium-sized computers. SCSI has given way to faster standards, such as Firewire and USB.
 flash disk.

The new E-Disk SNX25 line offers rugged, compact design, and outstanding performance making it ideally suited for applications requiring reliable storage with a compact footprint.

The E-Disk SNX25, BiTMICRO NETWORKS' first offering in a 2.5&uot; form factor, establishes new standards for capacity and performance of 2.5&uot; solid state flash disks. The E-Disk SNX25 offers more than twice the capacity and more than double the sustained read and write performance than its closest competitor.

Built on BiTMICRO NETWORKS patented FlashBus technology, the E-Disk SNX25 is available in capacities as small as 128 MBytes for applications with minimal data requirements. It is also available in capacities as large as 4,352 MBytes for more demanding applications. The SNX25 delivers excellent performance with sustained read and write transfer rates exceeding 4.5 MBytes per second and lightning fast average access times of less than 0.25 ms.

The E-Disk SNX25 is fully SCSI compatible and supports all standard mounting orientations for 2.5&uot; disk drives making it a convenient replacement for conventional hard disk drives in systems requiring reliable storage.

BiTMICRO NETWORKS' SNX25 E-Disk is based on the 3.5&uot; E-Disk SNX35 version which has undergone extensive worldwide product qualifications testing across Linux, Windows, MacOS, and various UNIX UNIX

Operating system for digital computers, developed by Ken Thompson of Bell Laboratories in 1969. It was initially designed for a single user (the name was a pun on the earlier operating system Multics).
variants including Solaris, BSD (Berkeley Software Distribution) The software distribution facility of the Computer Systems Research Group (CSRG) of the University of California at Berkeley. , AIX, IRIX A Unix-based operating system from SGI that is used in its computer systems from desktop to supercomputer. It is an enhanced version of Unix System V Release 4. IRIX integrates the X Window system with OpenGL, creating the first real time 3D X environment. , QNX, SCO and Tru64.

The combination of performance, capacity and robustness of BiTMICRO NETWORKS E-Disk SNX25 solid state flash disk makes it an excellent choice for applications requiring compact storage solutions that must withstand harsh environmental conditions. E-Disk is well suited for data appliances, test equipment and embedded systems.
