BeyondTrust Appoints Eric Voskuil as Chief Technology Officer.

Seasoned Technology Expert Joins Leading Provider of Least Privilege Management Solutions

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. -- BeyondTrust Corporation, the first provider of Least Privilege Management solutions, today announced the hiring of Eric Voskuil as chief technology officer. In this capacity, Mr. Voskuil will be responsible for BeyondTrust's product strategy and technical execution. Voskuil will drive the evolution of the company's market-leading technology, which enables enterprises to eliminate administrator rights for end-users.

Prior to joining BeyondTrust, Voskuil co-founded DesktopStandard and designed several successful Group Policy-based enterprise desktop management products. The company was acquired by Microsoft in 2006. As a Software Architect in Microsoft's Management and Services Division, Voskuil assisted with the integration of DesktopStandard's PolicyMaker into Windows Server 2008 as Group Policy Preferences and of DesktopStandard's GPOVault into the highly successful Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack (MDOP) as Advanced Group Policy Management (AGPM), and served as an architect in the product team that owns Windows Server Update Services and Group Policy.

Voskuil holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is a ten year veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he had a successful career as an F/A-18 pilot, Top Gun graduate and Strike Fighter Tactics Instructor. He also developed a flight operations management and scheduling software system that was used across the Hornet community. Voskuil is a three-time Microsoft Most Valuable Professional in management, contributor to publications such as Microsoft TechNet, and speaker at technology events including the Microsoft Management Summit and RSA Conference.
