FREMONT, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 15, 1998--

Internet Image Inc. to Apply BeyondPush to New Intranet and

Extranet Java-based Distribution Products

Internet Image Inc., a pioneer in the development of software distribution and management solutions based on Java technology, today announced its development of BeyondPush(TM) technology.

BeyondPush is an advanced software distribution model that builds powerful management features onto the Push model for precise delivery of task-critical information over Intranets and the Internet.

BeyondPush technology is built on the simple foundation of the Push model for moving content over the Internet. It adapts Sun Microsystem's RMI (Remote Method Invocation) A standard from Sun for distributed objects written in Java. RMI is a remote procedure call (RPC), which allows Java objects (software components) stored in the network to be run remotely. , a pure Java Refers to initiatives from Sun that specify 100% compliance with its Java specification. The goal is to maintain a consistent, single interface for Java so that all Java Virtual Machines can run all Java programs. See Holy Grail.  implementation of TCP/IP TCP/IP

Traditional Push technology does not keep the client profile record in the server or track the outcome of the client request. Because of this, traditional Push technology cannot provide an acceptable solution for enterprise applications where control and management of client profiles and monitoring of information delivery are essential.
