Beyond.com Expands Into Books to Help Customers Get the Most Out of Their Software and Computers; Beyond.com Goes Beyond the Computer.


SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 30, 1999--

Internet software superstore Beyond.com(TM) (Nasdaq:BYND) today launched its Books tab at http://www.beyond.com/books.htm to offer computer and technical books to help Internet shoppers get the most out of the software and hardware they purchase from Beyond.com.

Beyond.com's Books tab offers a wide range of digitally downloadable books including Ziff-Davis University titles and numerous game guides.

The new Books tab is the first in a series of tab and new category launches in response to customers' desires for products and services that help them use their computers and software more efficiently and effectively.

"Now customers can get software and a book at a single point of purchase. The Books tab will feature entry level computer titles like IDG's The Internet for Dummies and Office 2000 Fast & Easy published by Prima Publishing as well as more technical programming titles like Sams Teach Yourself Linux in 24 Hours published by MacMillan.
