Beyond former glory; Sue Kelbrick visits a project looking better 200 years on.

BUILT IN the latter part of the 18th century, Wavertree Manor, at the time of construction, was the largest residence in Liverpool.

More than two hundred years later, and this Grade II-listed building has been restored to its former glory, thanks tomore than pounds 1m-worth of investment by local developers, WW Developments.

The house is a stunning example of Georgian architecture Georgian architecture. It includes several trends in English architecture that were predominant during the reigns (1714–1830) of George I, George II, George III, and George IV. The first half of the period (c.1710–c. , and the restoration work was planned to ensure the retention of the building's original features.

Inside, Wavertree Manor is nowhome to 11 individual and attractive apartments, all boasting a range of traditional features coupled with the best of contemporary design.
