Beyonce says tabloid is bootyvicious.

Beyonce Knowles homophobic? The British tabloid The Sun suggested as much in an October interview titled "Beyonce: 'God Won't Let Me Kiss Girls.'" The story has the 22-year-old Grammy winner describing her religious beliefs ("God is the main person in my life, and I wouldn't do anything to offend him") and then saying "it was a shock" to see Madonna and Britney Spears kiss at the MTV Video Mimic Awards.

"I couldn't do what Britney and Madonna did," Beyonce says in the story. "I have standards. There are things I will not do." Meanwhile, the story says, Beyonce sees nothing immoral about her own hetero-seductive image. "I honestly believe [God] wants people to celebrate their bodies," says the bootylicious star, "as long as you don't compromise your Christianity in the process."

As bad press started to roll in after the story, the closenit Knowles family fought back. Beyonce's dad and Manager, Mathew Knowles, complained to Newsday That The Sun's story was a "cut-and-paste job" designed to paint his delighter as a homophobe. Regarding the Britney-Knowles insisted, Beyonce said only, "I would never do that, but I thought it was a great performance."

Then Beyonce herself laid down the law. "I'd like to clarify any confusion over some quotes that were attributed to me totally out of context in a recent interview," she said in a statement. "I have never judged anyone based on his or her sexual orientation and have no intention of starting now. I have a lot of gay and lesbian fans, and I love them no differently than my straight fans."

You go, girl. But really, No Britney kiss? Dang!
