Beyonce's Dad Challenges American Idol's Simon Cowell

After hearing Cowell once label his daughter Beyonce as, “not a great singer” and even “not sexy,” Knowles is laying down the gauntlet.

“I challenge him to put together a female group or female solo artist, and I will do the same, and then let the audience decide which is better,” Knowles told the New York Daily News after watching Cowell in action from backstage during Tuesday’s American Idol show.

Knowles was even more irked after Paris Bennett, a young Idol participant sang Beyonce’s, “Work It Out,” only for Cowell to arrogantly dismiss the performance as, “a little girl pretending to be Beyonce. Whoopee.”

Cowell has not responded to Knowles’ challenge as of press time.
