Beyer chosen for LCC alumni award.

Lee Beyer of Springfield has been named a 2007 Distinguished Alumni by the Lane Community College Foundation. The awards go to alumni who completed at least 30 credit hours or earned an associate's degree as·so·ci·ate's degree

 state representative and senator, and today is chairman of the Oregon Public Utility Commission. He volunteered more than 10 years on the college's Professional and Technical Education Coordinating Committee and is active in community organizations.

Beyer is one of four people selected for the award.
