Matthew Bowen (born 9 March, 1982 in Cairns, Queensland) is an Australian rugby league player for the North Queensland Cowboys in the National Rugby League competition, has played shows off the 10-inch scar on his leg - from when he almost ended up as a man-eating bull shark's lunch in Australia. The 23-year-old, from Warrington, Cheshire, was attacked while diving. Matt said: "When I looked at my leg, instead of a calf there was just a hunk of shredded tissue and blood."
