Beware of online copyrights.Most people think nothing of copying something from the Internet & either posting it on their own site or emailing it to others. Strictly speaking Adv. 1. strictly speaking - in actual fact; "properly speaking, they are not husband and wife" properly speaking, to be precise this is usually illegal. Most content found on the Internet is copyrighted, even if a notice is not posted. Any original work is automatically copyrighted even if the creator does not apply for or obtain a formal copyright. A copyright gives the owner the right to stop others from using their work without permission & seek court relief in the event of an infringement The encroachment, breach, or violation of a right, law, regulation, or contract. The term is most frequently used in reference to the invasion of rights secured by Copyright, patent, or trademark. . While notice of copyright & formal registration are not required, they do facilitate some actions. Generally, to be eligible for damages in a suit, an unpublished work must be registered prior to the infringement or within 3 months of its publication. Most attorneys will recommend that you do not copy without permission. Most copyright suits are based on the amount of damage that has been caused to the copyright holder.
