Betty Ellen (Johnson) Butler, 81.OCALA, FL Betty Ellen (Johnson) Butler, 81, passed away February 9 in Ocala, FL. She was born in Worcester, MA in 1927 the daughter of Oscar and Edla (Wingberg) Johnson. She graduated from Clark University Clark University, at Worcester, Mass.; coeducational; chartered 1887, opened as a graduate school 1889. It was the second graduate school to be formed in the United States. Its undergraduate college (est. 1902) was integrated with the university in 1920. in 1951 and lived in Washington, DC, Memphis, TN, and Millbury, MA before retiring to Florida. She was a charter member of the Marion Oaks Congregational United Church of Christ United Church of Christ, American Protestant denomination formed in 1957 by a merger of the General Council of Congregational Christian Churches (see Congregationalism) and the Evangelical and Reformed Church. (Ocala), was active in community service, and enjoyed painting, woodcarving, reading, politics and history. She is survived by Orton Butler her husband of 57 years; daughters, Kathryn (Tom) Balistrieri of Heath, MA, Marilyn (Mark Mancevice) Butler of Worcester, MA and a granddaughter, Anika Sabin Sa·bin , Albert Bruce 1906-1993. She was portrayed by Beverley Hills from 1996 until 1998. , both of Holden, and several great-nieces, great - nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn D. Johnson.
