, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Aug. 6, 1996--Bettis Corporation (Nasdaq/NM-BETT) today announced its 1996 six month revenues were 13 percent higher than for the comparable period ended June June: see month.  30, 1995. For the first six months of 1996, the company reported revenues of $29,814,000, compared to $26,394,000 for the first six months of 1995. The company further reported net earnings for the six months ended June 30, 1996 were $1,081,000 or $.13 per share, 11 percent higher than the $973,000, or $.11 per share earned for the same period in 1995.

For the 1996 second quarter, the company reported revenues of $14,993,000, a 12 percent gain over the $13,432,000 reported for the 1995 second quarter. Net earnings for the 1996 second quarter were $489,000, or $.06 per share, compared to $562,000, or $.07 per share reported for the 1995 second quarter.

During the second quarter of 1996, Bettis acquired Prime Actuator A mechanism that causes a device to be turned on or off, adjusted or moved.
