Better breathing in the desert.Many soldiers have already found out how difficult the sand and heat of the deserts of Southwest Asia Southwest Asia or Southwestern Asia (largely overlapping with the Middle East) is the southwestern portion of Asia. You can shake out much of the sand and use a dry. clean cloth to wipe out the rest. Of course, if your mask is really caked with sand the best option is to wash it.
