Betsy Gile Joins BlueMountain Capital Management as Senior Advisor.

Prior to her retirement in 2005, Ms. Gile spent two years at Deutsche Bank (DB) as a managing director and global head of the Loan Exposure Management Group. In that role, she built a team to manage DB's $80 billion commercial loan portfolio by using capital market instruments and derivatives to reduce the volatility of financial results. The initiative led to the team being recognized by Risk magazine as "Credit Portfolio Team of the Year" in 2005.

Before joining DB, Ms. Gile spent 24 years at J.P. Morgan, where she worked in virtually every aspect of credit origination and risk management. Over the course of her tenure in J.P. Morgan's North American North American

 business, she was alternately responsible for such roles as High Grade Credit Markets trading, Credit Portfolio Management, Corporate Lending and Credit Research. While there, Ms. Gile worked directly with Andrew Feldstein and Gery Sampere, co-founders of BlueMountain, Bill Ingrassia, BlueMountain's head of credit research, and Ian Gazard, credit analyst.

Ms. Gile's interests outside of her professional career include a range of roles in the not-for-profit world, including membership on the Investment Committee of the Board of Scenic Hudson, a nature and conservancy group, and her involvement with the Brooklyn Kindergarten Society, which provides early childhood education programs in low-income neighborhoods.

Ms. Gile lives in Brooklyn with her husband, Larry, and two daughters, Kathryn and Lily.
