NORTH BROOKFIELD/STUART, FL Betsey T. (Mason) Varnum, 89, formerly of North Brookfield North Brookfield is the name of some places in the United States.

 died Sunday, October 12, 2008 in Cape Cod Hospital Cape Cod Hospital is a not-for-profit regional medical center located in Hyannis, Massachusetts. It has 225 beds with more than 4,000 employees and 400 physicians on staff. It now has an extensive Cardiac Care with a partnership with Brigham and Women's Hospital.  after a brief illness. Her husband, Edward W. Varnum died in 1999.

She leaves two sons, Herbert M. Varnum and his wife Jean of Worcester and Roger E. Varnum and his wife Sandra of Cape Porpoise porpoise, small whale of the family Phocaenidae, allied to the dolphin. Porpoises, like other whales, are mammals; they are warm-blooded, breathe air, and give birth to live young, which they suckle with milk. , ME; six grandchildren, Karen Matt of Holden, Susan Marrone and her husband Vincent of Maryville, TN, Deborah Tong and her husband Kyle of Gahanna, OH, Lisa Staples and her husband Ben of Princeton, Amy Jacobson Amy Jacobson was a general assignment reporter for WMAQ, the NBC television affiliate in Chicago, Illinois, USA, from 1996[1] to 2007.

On July 6, 2007, a videotape of Jacobson (was on YouTube, but later removed), clad in a bikini, and her children at the home of
 and her husband Larry of Natick and Betsey Varnum of Cambridge; nine great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and her devoted caregivers, Debra Engling, Cindy Chaffee, Jennifer Greene Alison Hart (b. Michigan, U.S.A.), well-know as Jennifer Greene is a popular U.S.American writer of over 60 romance novels since 1980. She also signed her novels as Jeanne Grant and Jennifer Greene.

She has been honored with many awards.
 and Heather Lawry. She was also predeceased by a daughter Judith Ann Varnum a brother James Mason and a great-grandchild Courtney Staples.

She was born in Massachusetts daughter of the late Herbert T. and Florence (Gassett) Mason and lived in North Brookfield before moving to Florida 24 years ago.

Funeral Services for Betsey will be held privately. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in North Brookfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Christ Memorial Episcopal Church, 133 North Main St., North Brookfield, MA 01535. Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., West Brookfield is directing arrangements.
