Mr. and Mrs. Ibrahim Dabdoub, both Bethlehemnatives, feel strongly about preserving their son's memory and supporting higher education in the placeof their heritage and primary education. "Business is my life and education is my passion," Mr. Dabdoub said. "It is also fitting that this faculty,a place of learning, inside the institution and the City that hold [Shucri's] roots, will be a focal point focal point n. Palestinian officials have stressed the need for increased support for Bethlehem University, especiallythroughout the Arab world. Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad commended Bethlehem University and the Dabdoub family for their dedication to developing higher education in Palestine. The naming event also demonstrates how the Bethlehem University community unites to transcend thedifficulties and challenges of life, and transform these challenges into constructive forces for change. Mr.Dabdoub described the painful experience of losing a son, saying, "It leaves a void in one's heart. Thememory is forever present in one's mind.
