Beth Axelrod to Join eBay to Head Human Resources.SAN JOSE, Calif. -- eBay, the World's Online Marketplace (Nasdaq:EBAY) (www.ebay.com), today announced that Beth Axelrod has been named senior vice president of human resources. Reporting to eBay COO Maynard Webb, Axelrod will be responsible for all areas of the company's global human resources including recruiting, training, compensation, benefits and the continuing evolution of the company's unique corporate culture. Before joining eBay, Axelrod had been chief talent officer at WPP WPP Wire & Plastic Product PLC WPP World Press Photo WPP Web Presence Provider WPP Wolf Pack Productions (anime fan subbing group) WPP Witness Protection Program WPP Wireless Packet Platform WPP Work Package Planning , the global communications services group, since 2002. At WPP she was responsible for recruitment, development, compensation, performance management and retention. Prior to WPP, she was a partner at McKinsey & Company where she co-led the consultancy's organization and leadership practice and led the consultancy's talent management research and client service efforts. Prior to McKinsey, she worked on mergers and acquisitions for First Boston, Inc. in New York New York, state, United States New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States.
