Premier multi-user accounting software, announces its newest product, M.Y.O.B. Accounting Plus. The successor to M.Y.O.B. Accounting with Payroll Version 7, M.Y.O.B. Accounting Plus still retains a powerful Payroll module while introducing significant new features, including M.Y.O.B. OfficeLink.

M.Y.O.B. ACCOUNTING PLUS FOR WINDOWS

M.Y.O.B. OfficeLink provides a one-click transfer of M.Y.O.B. Accounting data into Excel, Word and WordPerfect, giving the user advantages in data manipulation unheard of in accounting software. OfficeLink's bridge to Excel seamlessly transfers accounting data into an Excel spreadsheet, complete with formulas where applicable. For example, if the user is looking at a P&L, one click on the new Excel button automatically brings the data into a spreadsheet. This allows for comprehensive "what if" analysis, data massaging for industry specific information or ratio calculations, the translation of data into foreign currency exchanges, and much more.

With M.Y.O.B.'s data link to Microsoft Word and Corel WordPerfect, a one-click mail merge creates a letter customized with the customer's specific data, making customer base mailings easy, manageable and very quick. Business owners can send customers with overdue receivables a collection letter with the overdue amount automatically included. Or, for instance, individualized item backorder reminders and customized discount notices and thank you letters can be generated. Letter templates are included and business owners can add as many additional templates as they wish.

Using AppleScript scripts, users can transfer information from M.Y.O.B. Accounting Plus to database applications, e-mail programs and the like.

These include: the ability to save reports in HTML format so that they can be viewed on a web site; improved bank account reconciliation so that only those unreconciled transactions that have a date on or before the specified bank statement date will appear; greater flexibility in printing statements through the ability to specify both a beginning and an ending date range; and the ability to search by vendor invoice or customer purchase order number.
