Below are some pictures obtained as of press time on February 4. Region III Celebrates in Minneapolis Over 130 people attended the fifth annual Region III banquet January 16, in Minneapolis. The beautiful McNamara Alumni Center The McNamara Alumni Center, also known as the Gateway Building, at the University of Minnesota's Twin Cities campus in Minneapolis, Minnesota is one of the more architecturally-unique buildings in the area. was the location for the awards honoring work from Cornbelt, Iowa, North Central and Northern Prairie. The evening was emceed by Jim Gresham. Best of Show -Advertising was awarded to Syngenta Crop Protection and Martin Williams; Best of Show--PR was awarded to NCBA NCBA National Cattlemen's Beef Association NCBA North Carolina Bar Association NCBA National Cooperative Business Association NCBA North Carolina Biomedical Association NCBA National College of Business and Arts and SR Brown Marketing Communications; and Best of Show-Specialty was awarded to Nestle Purina PetCare Company and Colle McVoy. Kansas City Hosts Third Annual Region II Banquet Over 125 people from the Gateway, Great Plains, Midlands, Missouri-Kansas, Rocky Mountain and Southwest Chapters gathered to honor the best of Region II entries. The event took place January 30 at the Hyatt Regency Crown Center in Kansas City. Peter Shinn, with NAFB NAFB National Association of Farm Broadcasters (now National Association of Farm Broadcasting) NAFB National Association of Farm Broadcasting (formerly National Association of Farm Broadcasters; Platte City, Missouri) , emceed the event. Best of Show-Advertising was awarded to the American Angus Association The American Angus Association was founded in Chicago, Illinois, in 1883, with 60 members. Its original name was shortened in the 1950s from the American Aberdeen-Angus Breeders' Association. and NKH&W; Best of Show -PR was awarded to The Council for Biotechnology Information and Fleishman-Hillard; Best of Show-Specialty was awarded to Cargill and David and Associates. |
