My dad, two uncles, two brothers and I were hunting Northern Alberta Norhern Alberta is a region located in the Canadian province of Alberta.

Its primary industry is oil and gas, with large heavy oil reserves being exploited at the Athabasca Oil Sands and Wabasca Area in the east of the region.

 and about 50 degrees. I was hunting with my brother, and at about 8:15 a.m. I called in two bulls. The first passed across a pipeline, out of range at 80 yards. To close the distance on the second bull, we ran ahead 60 yards to intercept him. We got to 32 yards and I was able to make a great shot. The bull was just under 40 inches, and despite 30 years of rifle hunting, he is the biggest we have ever taken! I rough scored him at 133 1/4 inches, making him 1 3/4 inches short of Pope and Young.
