), comprised of the Oakland/Eastbay PRSA, SF PRSA and Silicon Valley PRSA, last week recognized 53 public relations public relations, activities and policies used to create public interest in a person, idea, product, institution, or business establishment. By its nature, public relations is devoted to serving particular interests by presenting them to the public in the most  programs and projects as winners in the Best In Show 2004 Compass Awards Competition. Also, by special nomination, Mary Lou Thiercof, President of Oakland-based Working Images, received the Compass Award for Public Service.

The public relations programs which received Compass Awards were:
