TWO mums are stepping out in the business world - selling children's shoes to help raise hundreds of pounds for local schools.

Kirsty Vickerman and Vanessa Taylor Vanessa Taylor is an American television writer and producer. She has written episodes of television series such as Gideon's Crossing, Alias, Everwood and Jack & Bobby. , who both live in Netherton, have set up Shoes to Schools.

They decided to act after Vanessa had problems finding well-fitting, good quality and affordable shoes for her daughter.

Now the two friends are running a scheme to take their stock of shoes into schools, play gyms and nurseries.

For every pair of children's shoes sold, a percentage of the price goes to towards much-needed books, toys and equipment.
