Best film award on Bacha Khan's life pride for whole nation: Minister.

Peshawar, October 22, 2009 (Frontier Star): The NWFP Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education Sardar Hussain Babak has declared the best award of Middle East Film Festival based on the life and struggle of Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan alias Bacha Khan, a distinction and pride for the whole Pukhtoons nation. Commenting on the award declaration, the provincial minister said the event make it clear to the world that Pukhtoons are peace loving and hating terrorism and extremism. He said the peace loving philosophy of Bacha Khan got an international reputation and prestige for the Pukhtoons nation who are following non-violence struggle of Bacha Khan for the last about one century. The education minister said that the film "Bacha Khan a Torch for Peace" was the need of the hour and whole Pukhtoons nation could follow the same philosophy to rid of the present uncertainty and terrorists activities taking place on their land. He said from very beginning Pukhtoons nation was hating terrorism and loving peace on their land but unfortunately terrorists' activities were carried out on their soil, being an international conspiracy against them. However, he said the international recognition to the film based on the struggle and life achievements of Bacha Khan would make clear the real image of Pukhtoons on the entire world. It merits to mention here that a Canadian film maker made a documentary film on the life and struggle of Bacha Khan and his "Khudai Khidmatgar Tehrik" and the same got first prize in the Middle East Film Festival 2009. The film was completed by the film maker after a long struggle of 21 years.
