(BSI BSI - British Standards Institute ), an Encore marketing partner has purchased an Alpha-based Infinity R/T R/T rather than R/T Related To R/T Real Time R/T Room Temperature R/T Round-Trip (travel booking) R/T Response/Time R/T Running Time R/T Research & Technology R/T Race/Track R/T Rapid Transit R/T Road & Track (tm) system for software development valued at $125,000. The system has already been installed and will be used to develop high-end amusement gaming simulation software Simulation software is based on the process of imitating a real phenomenon with a set of mathematical formulas. It is, essentially, a program that allows the user to observe an operation through simulation without actually running the program. . The agreement between Encore, BSI and Pacific System Integrators Inc. (PSI) was initiated earlier this year. The system purchased includes two Encore Infinity R/T systems clustered together with the Encore patented REFLECTIVE MEMORY A memory bus technology developed originally in the 1980s by Encore Computer that allowed simultaneous reads and writes to multiple memories. It was used in Encore's SMP computer systems, in which memory is shared among multiple CPUs. (tm) technology creating a high availability amusement purpose simulation system with three degrees of freedom.
