Best Dog-Friendly Places in California and Nevada; DogFriendly.com Announces Its Top 100 Places to Visit.

"Whereas we have found over 1800 places in California and Nevada that allow your dog to accompany you, these one hundred top tourist and recreational spots make you and your dog feel most welcome. These are places that many people visit, with or without dogs."

Many pet travel sites list all or mostly hotels. DogFriendly.com believes that in order for your family to get the most out of a trip, or a daily outing, you need to have other things to do together. Some of the places showcased in the 2002 DogFriendly.com Top 100 Places to Visit in California and Nevada include:

-- Trees of Mystery Trees of Mystery is a roadside attraction in Klamath, California. It is alongside US Highway 101 in the Redwood National and State Parks. It includes a 15 meter tall statue of Paul Bunyan and a 10 meter Babe the Blue Ox and an aerial tramway. , Klamath

Allows leashed dogs everywhere people are welcome, including the Redwood-filled interpretive trail, Native American Museum and aerial gondola.

During the summer months, leashed dogs are welcome to ride the aerial gondola up to High Camp at 8,200 feet. Dogs are also welcome to attend some of Squaw's special summer events like Stargazing star·gaze
