Best Data introduces Fast Ethernet Adapter.LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 21, 1996-- LANMaster 110 Automatically Connects to 10Base-T and 100Base-TX Ethernet Networks Best Data Products today introduced the LANMaster 110 Fast Ethernet Adapter. Compatible with both 10 Mbps 10Base-T and 100 Mbps 100Base-TX, the LANMaster 110 preserves the buyer's investment in older 10 Mbps networks while facilitating easy and cost-effective upgrading to 100 Mbps Fast Ethernet. The LANMaster 110 uses a full 32 bit PCI bus interface with parallel cut-through bus mastering for the highest possible speed networking. The product has a SRP SRP - A data link layer protocol. of $99. The LANMaster 110 is highly flexible, and compatible with half- and full-duplex data concentrators. By eliminating the need to purchase new concentrators, the LANMaster further preserves the buyer's network investment. "The LANMaster 110 is the next logical evolution for our data communications line," explained Daniel Horowitz, Marketing Manager at Best Data Products. "The LANMaster 110 is designed around the most modern, state-of-the-art chipset to ensure the value, reliability and performance our customers have come to expect from Best Data." Reducing valuable set-up time, the LANMaster 110 uses the latest 802.3 autonegotiation procedures to detect and adjust for the highest common speed in a network. The LANMaster 110 also automatically corrects for receive polarity, eliminating the need to correct minor wiring errors. The LANMaster 110 is fully plug and play with Windows 95. The LANMaster 110 has Link Status LEDs for 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps, and Activity Status speed installation and troubleshooting. In addition to compliance with PCI (1) (Payment Card Industry) See PCI DSS. (2) (Peripheral Component Interconnect) The most widely used I/O bus (peripheral bus). Local Bus Revision 2.0 and 2.1, the card meets the full range of I/O (Input/Output) The transfer of data between the CPU and a peripheral device. Every transfer is an output from one device and an input to another. See PC input/output. I/O - Input/Output base address and interrupt levels as per the PCI specification. Best Data provides drivers for Client and Server ODI, NDIS (Network Driver Interface Specification) A network driver interface from Microsoft. See network driver interface.
