Best Buy offers recycling grant money.


Minneapolis-based Best Buy Co. has unveiled a consumer electronics recycling recycling, the process of recovering and reusing waste products—from household use, manufacturing, agriculture, and business—and thereby reducing their burden on the environment.  grant program to help increase the recycling opportunities available in communities across the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area. .

The program will provide two types of grants, the first offering support for events hosted by 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations Nonprofit Organization

An association that is given tax-free status. Donations to a non-profit organization are often tax deductible as well.

Notes:
Examples of non-profit organizations are charities, hospitals and schools.
, and the second supporting events hosted by other organizations in cities and townships across the country. Grants will range from $500 to $1,500, depending on the size and scope of each organization's event program and the need for recycling in the area.

Grant applications are available online at www.surveymonkey. com/s.asp?u=725063232472 and at www.bestbuy.com/recycling or www. e4partners.com. Priority has been given to applications that were completed by Earth Day, April 22, 2007.
