What: Best Buy is pleased to participate in New Mexico's upcoming
sales tax holiday Aug. 3-5, 2007. The sales tax holiday offers
consumers the chance to save on personal computers up to
$1,000, computer equipment, peripherals and supplies up to
$500, and calculators.
Store hours have been extended for the holiday:
Friday, Aug. 3 and Saturday, Aug. 4 -- 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Sunday, Aug. 5 -- 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Local Best Buy BlueShirts are available for live or taped
in-store interviews and can offer:
-- Back-to-school shopping advice
-- Information about the latest technology
-- B-roll or photography
How: Best Buy Public Relations Department is instituting a
"manager-approval" news media policy for newspaper, TV and
radio reporters for the sales tax holiday. This policy
empowers store managers to approve or decline sales tax
holiday news media stories without having to obtain approval
from the corporate Best Buy Public Relations department.
