Best Buy Co., Inc. Promote Key Executives; New Vice Presidents Named in Merchandising and Brand Management.

Best Buy Co., Inc. (NYSE: BBY) announced the promotion of two vice presidents. Bob Davidson has been promoted to Vice President - Merchandising-Computers, and Mary Miller to Vice President - Brand Management.

Davidson has been with Best Buy for almost six years, beginning as a district manager. After a five year absence, during which he held general manager positions with CompUSA, Davidson returned to Best Buy holding positions in marketing most recently as merchandise manager for the computer department. In this newly created position, Davidson is responsible for all computer hardware, CPUs, monitors, CTOs, notebooks, and PDAs.

Miller joined Best Buy in 1998 as Director of Strategic Marketing, Brand Management. She previously worked at the Pillsbury Company for more than 13 years in various finance and marketing positions. As Vice President of Brand Management, she is responsible for the brand management, market intelligence and consumer research departments. A native of St. Paul, Miller earned her bachelor's degree from Northwestern University and her Master of Business Administration from University of Minnesota.
