) has selected Norstan Communications, Inc. to expand its voice and data conferencing Sharing data interactively among several users in different locations. As a leading specialty retailer of consumer electronics with more than 1900 retail stores and plans for global expansion, Best Buy needed to rapidly expand their conferencing capabilities and accomplished such objective through easy and seamless upgrades to Best Buy's existing voice conferencing system based on Latitude Communications technology.

The new conferencing solution allows Best Buy to control all aspects of its voice and Web conferencing capabilities, resulting in increased security. The addition of integrated Web conferencing features allows users to share files, presentations and collaborate in real-time. In addition to the integrated Web conferencing, Best Buy also chose to integrate scheduling and calendar functionality via Microsoft's Outlook. This integration will allow users to schedule voice and Web conferences with a Groupware Software that supports multiple users working on related tasks in local and remote networks. Also called "collaborative software," groupware is an evolving concept that is more than just multiuser software which allows access to the same data.  tool they are already familiar with.
