Any solid, liquid, or gaseous waste materials that, if improperly managed or disposed of, may pose substantial hazards to human health and the environment. Every industrial country in the world has had problems with managing hazardous wastes.
 collection - pesticides, paints, batteries, floor wax, cleaning solutions, etc. - will be held Saturday at Harrisburg High School. Residential waste will be accepted free and should be brought in between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Businesses should call (800) 547-2436 for appointments and bring their waste in between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m . They'll be charged a fee based upon the amount.
