Besicorp Group announces second quarter '96 results.

KINGSTON, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 16, 1995--BESICORP GROUP INC. (AMEX Emerging Company Marketplace - BGI.EC), announced today results for the three- and six-month periods ended September 30, 1995.

According to Michael J. Daley, vice president and chief financial officer, "The company continued to realize good cash flow from its projects having received approximately $1,100,000 in each of the first two quarters of the current fiscal year. Due to the nature of the project development business, quarterly results of operations may fluctuate significantly. The net loss for the current three-month period reflects losses in both the project and product segments, primarily due to the reduction in recordable income from partnerships from the first quarter to the second quarter of Fiscal 1996 of approximately $490,000 and the company's continuing investment in technology development, particularly in the solar electric business. Almost all of the costs associated with technology development activities, as well as a significant portion of the costs of project development activities, are expensed on a current basis and are continuing based on an investment philosophy in expectation of future returns from new project development and launches of new technology ventures.
