.EC) announced the appointment of Douglas A. Koop, Ph.D. as President of its SunWize Technologies, Inc. ("SunWize") subsidiary. SunWize is a technology company specializing in development, manufacture and marketing of solar electric power products and integrated systems.

Koop brings strong educational background and experience with senior management, manufacturing, and global marketing and sales of high technology, electronics, magnetics and materials. Koop received his Ph.D. in Metallurgy and Materials Science from Lehigh University and holds a Bachelor of Science Noun 1. Bachelor of Science - a bachelor's degree in science

Prior to joining Besicorp, Koop was President of Hudson Valley Technology Development Center, Inc., a private corporation providing manufacturing and technology expertise to Mid-Hudson manufacturing firms. Prior to that, Koop was President of Crucible Materials Corporation, Magnetics Division. He also was General Manager of Philips Electronics North America Corporation, Magnetics Products Group in Saugerties, N.Y.
