She was the eighty-ninth police officer and the sixth female officer to die in the line of duty in England and Wales, during an armed raid told a court that he was a mere "foot soldier" in the robbery, and had no part in planning the raid. Mustaf Jama Mustaf Jama (born 1980 in Somalia) is a Somalian criminal, suspected of involvement in the murder of British policewoman Sharon Beshenivsky. Mustaf Jama is the older brother of the convicted Somalian-born British-based murderer, Yusuf Jama. , 29, told Newcastle Crown Court he "wasn't involved" in the details of the robbery which led to Pc Beshenivsky's death, and was only following instructions from the gang's ringleader ring·lead·er n. Jama denies murder and firearms offences, but has admitted to trying to rob the premises. He told the jury he was approached by his brother's friend, Shah, in Edgware, north London two days before the robbery was due to take place, who told him he wanted to "do something."
