EMBATTLED Scotland football coach Berti Vogts Hans Hubert "Berti" Vogts (born 30 December, 1946 in Büttgen, near Düsseldorf, Germany) is a former German international football player and manager. Club career  is fighting to woo back his estranged wife with flowers.

The German has been busy showering wife Monika with gifts to try and save his 24-year marriage.

A penthouse apartment or penthouse is a special apartment that is at the top of the building and differentiated from other apartments in the building by

He moved out of the family home last July after a bitter split with former air hostess Monika and, until recently, the pair have only spoken through lawyers.

But he has been trying to patch up their relationship for the sake of teenage son Justin.

A friend said: 'Berti has realised he wants Monika and the family together for the sake of his son. He is an honourable man.'

Vogts parked his blue Jaguar XJ The Jaguar XJ is a luxury saloon sold under the British Jaguar luxury marque. The XJ was launched in 1968 and has served as the Jaguar flagship model for most of its production span which continues through to today. 8 before popping into a florists in Glasgow's Muirend to order a pounds 50 bouquet. He arranged to have it delivered yesterday morning.

Floral designer Margaret Stewart said: 'He wrote his own card and sealed it and chose a hand-tied bouquet. It was a romantic bunch.'

Yesterday Vogts called at the family home to pick up 15-year-old Justin and a friend and take them on a day trip. Monika was not at home.

Last night Berti and Monika declined to comment on their marriage.
