Bernie's take is that we will repeat the 2002 scenario with a "fake-out breakout" to the upside followed by a break below support. That said, his work is indicating a much more "diverse" market than that of a year ago, with definite pockets of opportunity from the long side.

AMGEN (NASDAQ:AMGN) - EXPECTATIONALANALYSIS(R): Shares of this biotechnology firm recently broke out above potential resistance at the 55 level. This represents a 50-percent correction of AMGN's decline from its all-time high of 80.43 to its July low of 30.57. The 55 strike is also the site of heavy call open interest in the April and July series. The stock's rally off the July bottom has found solid support at its rising 10-week moving average. Furthermore, its monthly relative-strength measure versus the Nasdaq Composite (COMP) has vaulted to an all-time high.

WINNEBAGO INDUSTRIES (NYSE:WGO) - EXPECTATIONALANALYSIS(R): The Street has largely ignored WGO, as only two analysts rate the stock. This leaves ample room for other brokerage firms to jump on WGO's bandwagon. Technically speaking, the equity has been rising since hitting a bottom on March 18. Furthermore, the stock's strength has left its 10-day and 20-day moving averages poised for a bullish cross, which is often a sign for more strength in the shares.

ZIMMER HOLDINGS (NYSE:ZMH) - EXPECTATIONALANALYSIS(R): ZMH designs and develops orthopaedic reconstructive implants and fracture management products. Pessimism toward the security remains high, with its SOIR sitting at 0.86. This reading is higher than 95 percent of all those taken over the past year. In addition, ZMH's short interest rose by eight percent over the most recent reporting period to 5.1 million shares. ZMH has been enjoying stellar support from its 10-day and 20-day moving averages since the end of January. In addition, the stock has been climbing higher on support from its 10-month trendline since April 2002.
