Stolar joined Intrinsic's Board because he believes in the Company's ability to reduce the time-to-market for interactive entertainment products that ship for the different video game consoles This is a list of video game consoles by the era they appeared in. Eras are named based on the dominant console type of the era (even though not all consoles of those eras are of the same type). Some eras are referred to based on how many bits a major console could process.  and PCs. "Producing games for different platforms today is extremely time-intensive, which drives up production time and cost," said Bernard Stolar. "Intrinsic Graphics' solution meets a critical need in the industry - a fast portable software platform that lets developers concentrate on delivering great content, and not spend valuable time and resource on re-inventing every line of code for the different consoles and PCs. Intrinsic has a rich talent base and a great delivery track record - I think they have the potential to dramatically change the way developers produce games."
