Berman DeValerio Pease & Tobacco: Itron Shareholder Plaintiffs Announce Settlement of Shareholder Class Action Lawsuit.


SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 3, 1999--

Plaintiff shareholders of Itron, Inc. announced today that they reached an agreement to settle a securities class action lawsuit class action lawsuit

A lawsuit in which one party or a limited number of parties sue on behalf of a larger group to which the parties belong. For example, investors may bring a class action lawsuit against a brokerage firm that has actively promoted a tax
 filed against Itron, Inc. and Johnny Humphreys, Itron's Chairman and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. .

The lawsuit will be settled by a payment to the plaintiff class of $12 million. The lawsuit was brought on behalf of those who had purchased the common stock of Itron, Inc. between September 11, 1995 and October 22, 1996.
