Berlex Laboratories to Market MAGNEVIST Pre-filled Syringes.

MONTVILLE, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 2, 1998--Berlex Laboratories Inc. announced today that the company has received FDA approval to market MAGNEVIST(R) (gadopentetate dimeglumine) in pre-filled syringes.

With more than twice the market share of competing products, MAGNEVIST(R) is the world's leading contrast enhancement agent for MRI (magnetic resonance imaging). The new pre-filled syringes will come in three sizes, 10, 15 or 20 mL, and will offer Radiologists the broadest available range of pre-filled MRI syringe technology. Berlex plans to introduce the pre-filled MAGNEVIST(R) syringe in the first quarter of 1999.
