Berks Packing Selects VISUAL DCMS from Lilly Software; Cites High Volume Shipping and Lot Tracking Control.

Berks Packing Company recently purchased VISUAL DCMS(TM), Lilly Software Associates' advanced Radio Frequency (RF-) enabled Warehouse Management System (WMS).

Berks Packing Company, a third-generation, family-owned regional meat and food processor, will be integrating VISUAL DCMS with its VISUAL Manufacturing(R) application to form a complete end-to-end solution. Berks offers a large selection of hams, franks, smoked sausages, and deli meats to a variety of markets, including small stores, major supermarkets, and commercial services (such as Camden Yards, home to the Baltimore Orioles).

Serving customers from New England to Florida, and rapidly expanding into a nationwide company, Berks Packing needed a system that offered inventory control, space optimization, and high volume order management to meet the competitive demands of the food processing industry. VISUAL DCMS is part of Lilly Software's VISUAL Distribution(R) product line, which provides the tools for companies to optimize their distribution centers and improve cycle times, on-time deliveries, and customer satisfaction.
