Ortegon has been appointed dean for the School of Continuing Education The School of Continuing Education is a part of the North Orange County Community College District, located in northern Orange County, California. The School of Continuing Education provides non-credit continuing adult education, English as a Second Language, vocational skills, at New York's Berkeley College. Ortegon has more than 14 years of experience working in higher education administration. Most recently, he was associate vice president for enrollment management at Ramapo College of New Jersey. His prior positions include associate director of enrollment management and school relations, and director of graduate student services at Texas A&M International University; and director of enrollment management and recruitment for the graduate school, and director of academic advising and adult learning, at Montclair State University History Montclair State was established in 1908 as "Montclair Normal School" in response to a growing need for teachers. It was renamed "Montclair State Teachers College" in 1927, when it developed a program of educating secondary school teachers through a Bachelor of Arts . Ortegon earned a BBA BBA abbr.
