) today announced the appointment of Brent R. Martini to an additional seat on the Company's Board of Directors, bringing the total to 12 Directors. Mr. Martini, who joined Bergen in 1987, currently serves as president of the Company's largest subsidiary, Bergen Brunswig Drug Company (BBDC BBDC Brantley Capital Corporation (Cleveland, OH)

As president of BBDC for the past three years, Mr. Martini has successfully led the development and implementation of the company's sales, marketing and logistics strategies; proprietary programs and services for leading integrated healthcare networks; human resource capabilities; and, most recently, the formulation and implementation of the Company's innovative Internet strategy.
