"We are breaking new ground with our entrance into the European markets and what makes this especially exciting is that we will be utilizing Internet technology to facilitate next day shipment for all their order processing."

Mr. Martini continued, "I am extremely pleased that Durr has managed to obtain such large national contracts so quickly. With its acquisitions last year of Colonial Healthcare Supply Co. and Biddle & Crowther, Durr has begun to convey its formidable presence nationally which should accelerate our offering of one-stop-shopping that much sooner. The DOD is Bergen Brunswig Drug Company's third largest managed care customer and in turn we are one of the DOD's largest pharmaceutical vendors. We look forward to extending our partnership with the DOD through our med-surg distribution arm."

"Along with our customers in the DPSC regions, we are very excited to have Durr Medical as a vendor and welcome them as our international partner servicing Europe," said Linda Flatley, Chief Contracting Officer A US military officer or civilian employee who has a valid appointment as a contracting officer under the provisions of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. "Our European customers are very demanding in terms of customer service so Durr's reputation for superior customer satisfaction played a key role in our selection process. Durr worked effectively and responsively throughout the negotiation process, proving to us they could not only meet our basic needs but our premium needs, including an extremely broad product selection which is rapidly obtainable, a just-in-time inventory rating in excess of our high standards, and exceptional customer service -- response time and resolution."
