Brianna Berg of Dudley, the daughter of Michael and Lisa Berg, has been selected to participate in the Miss Massachusetts Teen USA 2010 Pageant, being held at the Marriot Hotel in Quincy Nov. 21-22.

Each delegate will be judged in swimsuit, evening gown, and personal interview. The winner will represent the state in the Miss Teen USA Pageant. Brianna is employed by Wind Tiki Restaurant and is a student at Shepherd Hill Regional High School. Tickets to the Nov. 21 preliminary and Nov. 22 final competition are available by calling [phone].

K of C attend annual charity ball

WORCESTER - Members of the Knights of Columbus Council #228 Webster recently attended the Mass. State Charity Fund Dinner held at the Worcester Crowne Plaza Hotel. Representing the Council was Grand Knight Paul Perry and his wife, Diane, Financial Secretary Dick Orsini and his wife, Barbara, and Fourth Degree Knight Vincenzo Micciche and his wife, Maria. The council thanks all contributors to its recent Tootsie Roll Charity Drive for making it a great success. Mr. Perry presented State Deputy William Donovan with a check for $1,500 from the local efforts. The money is used to fund grants for young people with disabilities. Thousands of dollars were collected statewide and turned in at the event.
